Mexico is the 19th largest e-commerce market in the world and growing fast. With a revenue of US$9 billion in 2019, the country was Latin America’s fastest-growing retail ecommerce market, at 35.9%. Around 70% of the 53 million online shoppers in Mexico are purchasing from international e-commerce businesses today. Mexican shoppers expect to be able to pay via a secure payment processor using their local methods.: 60% of online consumers prefer to pay with Debit Cards, while 35% of online shoppers pay with cash-based methods, such as OXXO.
